The short version
Wheel Spinner Tool has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. The lists you type, the names you paste and your results are not sent to us or to anyone else.
The site sets no cookies and loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies’ servers.
What stays in your browser
So that your wheel is still there when you come back, your browser saves a few things on your own device: the list you typed, the ready-made list you chose, whether “Remove the winner after each spin” is on, and whether the sound is on. The team generator saves the names you entered and the number of teams in the same way.
All of this sits in your browser’s local storage for this site. It does not leave your device, and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
A link made with “Copy link to this wheel” carries the list inside the link itself, in the part after the # sign. The browser does not send that part to a server. Whoever gets the link can read the list, so do not put anything private in a list you share.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify processes the technical details a browser sends with each request, such as the IP address, the page asked for and the browser type, in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. What you type into a wheel is never part of those requests.
Children and classrooms
The site is used in classrooms and by families. It does not ask children, or anyone else, for their name, their email address or any other personal detail. Names typed into a wheel stay in the browser, as described above.
If you write to contact@wheelspinnertool.com, we use your address and your message only to answer you.
Advertising
The site does not show ads at the moment. We plan to add advertising to pay for the site. Before the first ad appears, this page will name the advertising company and explain which cookies it uses and what choices you have.
Your rights
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to learn which personal data is stored about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. The only personal data connected with this site are the technical hosting details described above and emails you send us.
The legal basis for processing those technical details is our legitimate interest in running the website safely and reliably (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). To use your rights, write to contact@wheelspinnertool.com.
