About the Never Have I Ever wheel

Each entry on the wheel completes the sentence “Never have I ever…”. All 84 endings are loaded when the page opens, and “Choose a list” narrows the wheel to one group: “Food”, “School days”, “Travel and outdoors”, “Home life”, “Silly moments” or “Hobbies and skills”.

In the game, the players who have done the thing say so, usually by putting a finger down or taking a step forward. This is the family-friendly version, for families, classrooms and work parties: every ending is something a child could have done and would not mind admitting.

Before you play, read through the list further down the page. Every ending is printed there under its group, so a teacher or a parent can check them all first. Then switch on “Remove the winner after each spin” so that no ending comes up twice in one game.

Ways to play with the Never Have I Ever wheel

  • Five fingers: everyone holds up five, and the last player with a finger still up wins.
  • Step forward: start in a line and take one step for everything you have done.
  • Icebreaker for a new class or team: after each spin, one player who has done it tells the story.
  • Dinner table round: choose “Silly moments” and spin once per person.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
  2. Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
  3. Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.

How the pick is made

Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.

Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.

Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.

Questions about the Never Have I Ever wheel

Why don’t the slices start with “Never have I ever”?
The opening words are left off so that the labels on the slices differ. Say “Never have I ever” out loud, then read the ending the wheel picked.
Can we add our own prompts?
Yes. Type each ending on its own line and leave off the opening words, so it matches the rest. Your additions are saved in this browser for the next game.
Can we play over a video call?
Yes. One person shares their screen and spins for the group. Or press “Copy link to this wheel” and send the link, so everyone opens the same list.
Where do the prompts come from?
They were written for this site. Nobody copied them from a book, an app, a game or another website.
