About the truth or dare wheel
The first wheel decides between Truth and Dare with a 50% chance each. Then choose “Truth questions” or “Dares” above the list and spin again for the prompt.
All 20 truths and 20 dares are written for mixed ages: nothing embarrassing, nothing that needs props, nothing unsafe indoors. The full list is below so an adult can read it before the game.
Switch on “Remove the winner after each spin” on the question lists and no prompt comes up twice in one game. You can also delete prompts or add your own.
Where this version fits
- Family game night with kids of different ages.
- A classroom ice-breaker in the first week of school.
- Sleepovers and birthday parties where an adult wants to know every prompt in advance.
How to use the wheel
- Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
- Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.
How the pick is made
Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.
Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.
Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.
Questions about the truth or dare wheel
- Are the truths and dares safe for kids?
- They were written for families and classrooms: no dares that are dangerous, messy or embarrassing, and no personal questions. Every prompt is listed on this page so you can check them first.
- How do I stop a prompt from repeating?
- On the “Truth questions” or “Dares” list, switch on “Remove the winner after each spin”. Each prompt leaves the wheel once it is used.
- Can I add my own questions?
- Yes. The list is plain text. Add a line for each new truth or dare, or delete the ones you do not want.
- What if someone does not want to answer?
- Agree on a pass rule before you start, for example one free pass per player. Spin again for a new prompt.
