About the anime wheel

Every entry is the title of a Japanese animated series or film. The wheel opens with all 72, and the buttons under “Choose a list” narrow it to one of 7 groups: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, Sports, Supernatural or Films. Naruto, Slam Dunk and Spirited Away are on it, for example.

The titles were chosen for this site, and each one has an article on English Wikipedia. Below the wheel, the page lists every title under its group, so you can read the whole selection before you spin.

To build a watch list with no repeats, switch on “Remove the winner after each spin” and spin once for every title you want. Each anime that comes up leaves the wheel, and the Results tab lists your picks in order until you close the page.

What to do with a random anime pick

  • End the scrolling: spin once and give the title that comes up a try.
  • Plan a movie night: switch to “Films” and let one spin choose.
  • Take turns in a club or a group chat: one spin per person, and everyone adds their title to a shared list.
  • Try a genre you usually skip: choose it under “Choose a list” and go with the first spin.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
  2. Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
  3. Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.

How the pick is made

Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.

Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.

Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.

Questions about the anime wheel

Does the wheel know where I can watch a title?
No. The wheel picks a title only. It does not know where an anime can be watched, how long it is or what age rating it has.
Is every title fine for younger viewers?
That depends on the title. Ratings differ from one anime to the next, so check the rating before watching with younger viewers.
Why is a series under a genre I did not expect?
Many titles fit more than one genre, and here each is listed under only one. The genre used is always one that the title’s English Wikipedia article gives.
Can I add an anime that is not on the wheel?
Yes. Add the title on its own line in the list and the wheel redraws with it. The wheel holds 72 titles chosen for this site, not every anime.
Is this site connected to an anime studio or a streaming service?
No. This site is not connected to any studio, publisher or streaming service. The titles belong to their owners and are listed only so the wheel can pick one.
