About the Demon Slayer wheel

The wheel holds 89 characters from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, a Japanese manga series that was made into an anime. They are the characters named in the Wikipedia list of the series’ characters, grouped the way that article groups them: main characters, Demon Slayer Corps, demons, Kamado family, Rengoku family, supporting characters and minor characters.

The list covers the whole story, manga and anime together. A name, or the group it is filed under, may give something away if you are only partway through. Each pick is a name on the screen and nothing more: the wheel has no pictures of the characters.

For a cosplay group or a drawing swap, switch on “Remove the winner after each spin” and spin once per person. A picked character leaves the wheel when its result window closes, so nobody ends up with the same one as a friend.

Things to do with a random Demon Slayer character

  • Draw the character you land on, then spin again and add a second one to the same page.
  • Let the wheel settle a group cosplay when nobody can agree who goes as whom.
  • Play name-that-group: spin, say the name, and the first player to call its group scores a point.
  • Start a debate: spin two characters and argue which one you would rather have on your side.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
  2. Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
  3. Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.

How the pick is made

Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.

Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.

Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.

Questions about the Demon Slayer wheel

Why is “Hand Demon” on the wheel and not a name?
A few entries are descriptions, because the Wikipedia article gives those characters no name. “Spider Demon (Mother)” is another one.
Why does the wheel say Tanjiro Kamado, given name first?
Names are written the way the Wikipedia article writes them, and that article puts the given name first.
How likely is each Demon Slayer character?
With all 89 loaded, each character has a 1 in 89 chance (1.12%). “Main characters” alone holds 4 names, so each has a 25% chance.
Is this site connected to the people behind Demon Slayer?
No. This site is not connected to the author, the publisher or the studios of Demon Slayer, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
