About the cartoon character wheel
Every entry on this wheel is a character from an animated TV show or an animated film: Bugs Bunny, Homer Simpson and Moana are three of the 65. They sit in one alphabetical list.
The characters were chosen for this site from many different shows and studios, older and newer, with no more than three from any one show or film series. Before a name went on the wheel it was looked up on English Wikipedia, where each of these characters has an article.
Before a party game, tick “Remove the winner after each spin”. Each character then leaves the wheel once it has been picked, so no two players get the same one.
Games for a cartoon wheel
- Charades: spin where nobody else can see and act the character out without a word.
- Drawing warm-up: spin, then sketch the character from memory before you look at a picture.
- Guessing game: the others ask yes-or-no questions until they name your character.
- Costume idea: spin three times and keep the one you could dress as with clothes you already have.
How to use the wheel
- Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
- Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.
How the pick is made
Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.
Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.
Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.
Questions about the cartoon character wheel
- Does the wheel show what the character looks like?
- No. It shows a name only, with no picture, so look the character up if you have not seen it before.
- Why is my favorite character not on the list?
- The wheel holds a selection, not every cartoon character. Type any name on a new line and it gets a slice like the rest.
- Are anime characters on this wheel?
- No. There are no anime characters on it, and no video game characters either.
- Is this site connected to the studios that made these cartoons?
- No. This site has no connection to any studio, network or owner of these characters, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. The names belong to their owners.
