About the fast food wheel

The wheel lists 41 fast food and quick-service chains found in the United States. Not every chain operates in every state, so the first thing to do is delete the ones you cannot drive to.

Choose a kind of food above the list to spin among burger places only, or chicken, Mexican, pizza or sandwiches.

Your trimmed list is saved in this browser, so next time the wheel already holds only the places near you.

When to spin it

  • A road trip where every exit has the same five signs.
  • A group order where everyone has a different favorite.
  • A weekly “wheel picks lunch” tradition at work.

How to use the wheel

  1. Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
  2. Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
  3. Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.

How the pick is made

Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.

Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.

Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.

Questions about the fast food wheel

Which fast food chains are on the wheel?
41 chains, listed in full below, grouped into burgers, chicken, Mexican, pizza, sandwiches and everything else.
Does the wheel know which places are near me?
No. It does not use your location. Delete the chains that are not in your area, or replace the list with the places you actually have nearby.
Can I add a local restaurant?
Yes. Add a line with its name. Every line gets one slice of the same size.
Is this site connected to any of these restaurants?
No. The names are listed only so the wheel can pick one. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the chains.
