Source: Wikipedia, article “List of NBA All-Stars”, as last edited on September 8, 2026. We read it on October 13, 2026.
NBA is short for National Basketball Association, and the names on this wheel are those of real players, used here only as text on a list. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, any team or any player.
About the NBA player wheel
This is a wheel of NBA players who have been selected for the All-Star Game at least once. The names are taken from the Wikipedia list of NBA All-Stars and sit in two lists that are never mixed. The wheel opens with “Active All-Stars”, the 72 players that the source marks as still active as of the 2025–26 season. “Former All-Stars” holds the other 394.
The two lists behave differently. With the active players loaded, the names show on the slices and each player has a 1 in 72 chance (1.39%). The former list has more than 150 entries, so its labels are hidden and the result window shows the name, at a 1 in 394 chance each (0.254%). Players are listed by name only, without teams.
For a different pool, such as one team’s roster, press “Clear list” and type those names, one per line. For a draft with friends, switch on “Remove the winner after each spin” so a player who has been picked leaves the wheel.
What to do with a random NBA All-Star
- Set a video game challenge: spin “Active All-Stars” and build your next lineup around that player.
- Play a guessing game: one person spins in secret and gives clues until someone names the player.
- Start a debate: spin two names and let each side argue for one of them.
- Spin “Former All-Stars” for a name you have never heard, then look that player up.
How to use the wheel
- Type or paste your options, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Press Spin, click the wheel, or press Ctrl+Enter while you are in the list.
- Read the pick. Remove it from the wheel if nobody should be picked twice, then spin again.
How the pick is made
Before the wheel moves, your browser draws one slice at random with crypto.getRandomValues, the same generator browsers use for security keys. Every slice has the same chance. The spin you watch only plays that result out.
Nothing about the animation changes the outcome: not how hard you click, not how long the wheel turns, not the size of your screen. The pointer always stops inside a slice, never on a line.
Your list stays in your browser. A link you copy carries the list inside the link itself, so nothing is uploaded.
Questions about the NBA player wheel
- Is every NBA player on the wheel?
- No. Only players who have been picked for the All-Star Game at least once are on it. The wheel does not hold every player in the league.
- Does the wheel follow trades and retirements?
- No. It does not follow trades, injuries or retirements. It shows the source as it stood on the date printed under the list.
- Can I put active and former players on one wheel?
- Not with the buttons, because the two lists are never mixed. To combine players, type or paste the names you want into the list.
- Is this site connected to the NBA?
- No. This site is not connected to the NBA, to any team or to any player, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The names appear only so the wheel can pick one.
